They met on a blind date a few days before New Year’s Eve in 2007. Denise and Nick hit it off so well that they ended up celebrating New Year’s Eve together! Ringing in the New Year with someone who you’ve just met a few days before really tells you something! They’re so cute together and perfect for each other. Love at first sight… it still happens and these two are living proof! I’m such a hopeless romantic and love stories like theirs. Their loving and competitive nature really shows on their engagement session photos we captured last fall.
Denise & Nick, thank you so much for everything! We really had a great time with you and your family and friends on your wedding day! We wish you both the best!
A special thank you to Diane & Chris for the referral! It was great to see you guys again!
Their venue had a little taste of the old and the new, mixed all in one. Patrick Haley Mansion in Joliet is beautiful and is such a historic setting for a wedding reception. I could have shot there ALL day, had I been given the chance, but they still had to attend their reception ;) Here are our faves.
xoxo Michele & Andy
I don’t normally post process in the “vintage” style, but this image of Denise was screaming this style… Loved it!

Nick had surprised Denise with a wedding present before the ceremony. Loved her “jaw dropping” reaction to her present… See image below.
It’s her something blue! We thought it was fitting to photograph Nick’s Airforce Academy ring with Denise’s ring.

Nick’s mom had designed their church runner. Great job Mrs. B!
Just loved the way they’re looking at each other in the image above… Almost as if nobody else was in the room… *sigh*
