north shore engagement photos | joyce & peter

Sometimes engagement proposals don’t always go “as planned.”  This was the case for Peter.  Who knows how long he planned his proposal to Joyce, but I guarantee you that his proposal is something they both will never forget… Let me explain… On the day he was planning his proposal, Joyce got the stomach flu…. Uugggh, I know, how terrible!!   But he still went on as planned and popped the question.  Of course she said “Yes!”  Joyce & Peter are so perfect for each other, in every way.  They really balance each other well and their sweetness towards each other just oozes out!  That’s what happens when you’re in love!  We had such a great time getting to know them better on their engagement session.  We weren’t suppose to shoot in this location, but I am so glad that they changed it!  Andy and I were so excited to capture these images below.  Joyce & Peter, thank you for taking us to a location that we’ve never been before!  And thank you for the laughs and for being so trusting of our vision.  We can’t wait to photograph your wedding in less than 2 months!

Fun Fact: Andy and I are UIC Alums and we met during our Freshman year in college but didn’t go out until 5 years later…  :)

What’s New? Or not so new because it hit the news yesterday, and most Chicago Bulls fans already saw it coming… Congratulations to Derrick Rose as NBA’s 2010-2011 MVP.  If you haven’t seen the video accepting his MVP, you MUST watch it!  Not only is he a great basketball player, he’s also a great young man.  The way he looked at his mom and what he said in his speech really made me choke up!  I have to keep reminding myself that he’s only 22!  Keep it goin’ D. Rose!  Let’s win the game tonight!!  Gooo Bulls!

P.S.  Misha Media B&G’s: If you have an engagement session in your Misha Media Collection, it is time to contact us and schedule a session!  Thank you!

Although it’s technically spring time, Chicagoland area is still pretty barren as seen in the photo above… But I think the lack of leaves definitely added some “attitude” to the image!
